ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Arriving in Banff

When you arrive in the stunning town of Banff, check into your hotel and have the remainder of the day to relax in this amazing mountain town. Filled with shopping, dining and outdoor activities, Banff is a true gem among travelers and locals alike. Perhaps rent a canoe and watch the sunset this evening while rowing along the Bow River, or have a picnic dinner along the shores of the Cascade Ponds, a local favorite. If you arrive late, an evening stroll downtown followed by popcorn and a romantic movie at the local cinema might fit your style. If you fancy a drink or a dance, Banff also is home to several nightclubs, late-night pubs and fine-dining establishments which are sure to please.

DAY 2 - Dining in Banff

Start your day exploring the downtown heart of Banff. The main avenue is filled with great breakfast options for any appetite, and stores open early enough to get some souvenir shopping in before the early afternoon.
When you're satisfied with the morning's exploring, take a trip up to Sulphur Mountain. Once there, make your way to the Gondola's lower terminal, where you will be whisked away to the summit. This 8 minute ride to the top will give you incredible views of the entire Bow Valley, which only gets better as you get higher. Look closely and you'll see Lake Minnewanka in the distance.
You'll have the opportunity to get off at the top, and spend as long as you want atop the mountain. Various dining establishments, gift shops and an observation deck are sure to impress. If you have the desire, you can even take a 1km walk along the Banff Skywalk & National Historic Site. The easy, self-guided interpretive boardwalk along the summit ridge takes you to the Cosmic Ray Station National Histori Site of Canada, and the Sanson's Peak Meteorological Station. If you are a more adventurous couple, you may also want to try the South East Ridge Trail - a favorite among locals.
When you're done atop the mountain, make your way back down, and cross over to the Banff Upper Hot Springs. Get on your bathing suits for a relaxing sooth in these unique natural hot springs. Open until late, you are able to watch the sunset from the comfort of the water. A local gift shop, cafe and full service spa is also only steps away for those who wish to add extra comfort to their afternoon.
This evening, you will have the opportunity to experience the Banff Dine Around. This romantic outing is sure to please, starting off at Banff's premier Wine Store for a tasting and complimentary bottle of wine. Learn about the unique way that Canadians product Ice Wine, a truly amazing tasting experience. Follow this with an unforgettable dinner at the Maple Leaf Restaurant, one of Banff's premier restaurants. To top this evening off, finish with an irresistible dessert and drink from the Georgio's Trattoria. Known for its wide variety of desserts, Georgio's Trattora is able to accommodate any flavors that you fancy, whether it be a Hot Chocolate Soufflé or perhaps a delectable Prairie Fruit Cheesecake - this restaurant is sure to satisfy. The remainder of the evening is yours to return to your hotel, or stroll under the stars along Banff Avenue.

DAY 3 - Relaxing in Banff
