ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Vancouver to Lac Le Jeune

Departing Vancouver, travel towards the beautiful interior British Columbia. Leaving the Pacific Coast behind, you will be pleasantly greeted by some of the most stunning scenery in the country. Explore Minter Gardens while enjoying lunch, before traveling up the world-famous Coquihalla Highway for some magnificent photo opportunities. End your trek with an early evening arrival at Lac Le Jeune Resort. You will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the truly Canadian ambiance of this wilderness lodge.

DAY 2 - Lac Le Jeune to Banff

After breakfast (included), tour into the Canadian Rockies with lunch (included) in the mountain town of Revelstoke. In late afternoon travel to Banff via the Kicking Horse Pass in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. After a brief stop in Lake Louise, arrive in Banff at your hotel.

DAY 3 - Discovering Banff

Enjoy a morning 'Discover Banff Excursion' including sights such as Tunnel Mountain Drive and the Hoodoos. Take a final stop at the Banff Gondola for a ride up Sulphur Mountain. The afternoon is free to shop and explore.

DAY 4 - Visiting Lake Louise and the Yoho Valley

This morning, tour famous Lake Louise via the Bow Valley Parkway including Johnston Canyon and Moraine Lake. Continue on to Yoho National Park (seasonal*) after crossing the Continental Divide.

DAY 5 - Lake Louise to Jasper Sightseeing

A full day excursion takes you up the Icefields Parkway to Columbia Icefield Centre. An Ice Explorer ride (seasonal*) on the Athabasca Glacier highlights your day. Arrive in Jasper late afternoon for a two night stay.

DAY 6 - Exploring Jasper

Today, enjoy a morning interpretive excursion of Jasper townsite and area. The morning will encompass Medicine and Maligne Lakes and Maligne Canyon. Your afternoon is free to explore the quaint shops and attractions of this stunning resort town.

DAY 7, 8 & 9 - VIA Rail's 'Canadian' from Jasper to Toronto

Board VIA Rail's 'Canadian' to begin your two day journey cross the Great Plains of Canada, through to the rugged northern Ontario. Pampered in 'Sleeper Touring' class you can enjoy the class dome car, dining room car, onboard showers, and VIA's friendly hospitality (breakfast, lunch and dinner are included).

DAY 10 - Arriving in Toronto

This morning arrive in Toronto, Canada’s most cosmopolitan city. It is a city of contrasts; the soaring glass and concrete towers of the financial heart of the country and the parks, gardens and lakefront boardwalks of a host of communities. It is a cultural storehouse with great museums and galleries. Toronto is also a shopper’s paradise, from the chic boutiques of Yorkville or the lofty glass palace of the Eaton Centre to the fruit and vegetable stalls of the St. Lawrence Market. Transfer on your own to your selected hotel.

DAY 11 - Visiting Niagara Falls

This morning, depart on a full day sightseeing excursion to Niagara Falls. Travel through the orchard-laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world. Highlights of today’s excursion include a lunch buffet while overlooking the fall, plus a trip of the world-famous “Maid of the Mist”, which travels to the base of the majestic Horseshoe Falls. Also included is a trip along the beautiful River Road, which winds its way along the Niagara Gorge. Stops are made at the Floral Clock and at the historical community of Niagara-on-the-Lake before returning to Toronto.

DAY 12 - Departing Toronto

Your vacation concludes with check-out from your hotel today.
