ITINERARY:

DAY 1 – Banff Arrival

Arrive into the town of Banff, one of the most beautiful mountain locales in Western Canada. Here, you'll have the entire afternoon to explore.

DAY 2 – Rock-Climbing in Banff

The Canadian Rockies surrounding Banff, Canmore and Lake Louise are a rock climber's paradise with climbs and areas suitable for every level of climber. Rock climbing is an unbelievably exhilarating sport and you’re invited to experience it today.

DAY 3 – Banff Exploring to the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre

This morning, enjoy some Banff attractions. Included is admission to the Banff Gondola, which is a definite 'must do' while you're here. Sit back and relax in a 4 passenger, glass enclosed gondola. Marvel at the unsurpassed view of Banff and the Bow Valley in a breathtaking journey to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Later take a relaxing soak in the Banff Upper Hot Springs. After your soak, take a drive along the Icefield Parkway to the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre. Here, you will spend the night overlooking the spectacular Athabasca Glacier.

DAY 4 – Columbia Icefield Exploring to Calgary

This morning take a walk back in time along the Forefield Trail, and explore fascinating stories along the retreating path of the mighty Athabasca Glacier. Your experienced guide will share a wealth of information on the retreat of the glacier, its surrounding habitat and many incredible facts that will leave you in awe. This two-hour journey will provide you with visible evidence of the glacier’s path, enlightenment on the impact of glacial melt water, a behind the scenes look at this harsh environment and how plants and wildlife survive in such conditions, as well as a brief look at the human history in the area. After, take a trip on the Athabasca Glacier! You will travel onto the glacier in a specially designed "Ice Explorer" to a turnaround point atop 333 metres of ice. After your ice adventures, make your way back to home. This ends your Canadian Rockies Mountain Adventure.
