ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Arrival into Calgary

Upon arrival at the Calgary International Airport, pick up a rental car (not included) and proceed to downtown Calgary and your selected hotel. Calgary, a city of 950,000 people, is renowned for its Western hospitality, first-rate attractions to visit include Fort Calgary. This attraction brings history to life by telling the stories of the Northwest Mounted Police site, the settlement and the people of Calgary through dynamic interpretation and exciting exhibits. Interactive and hands-on opportunities are found around every corner! (Admission to Fort Calgary included). Also included is admission to the Calgary Tower observation level and revolving restaurant afford great views of the city and the mountains to the west.

DAY 2 - Calgary to Lake Louise

Departing Calgary today, travel west through the foothills of the Rockies to the resort town of Banff. Travelling along Highway 1A offers a leisurely and scenic route to Banff. The area encompassed by Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho National Parks is not only vast, but very special too – this combined protected area is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site. After your visit the Banff, continue on your way to Lake Louise, the “Jewel of the Rockies”. Upon arrival in Lake Louise, check-in to your selected hotel. Included today is a ride on the Lake Louise Gondola and lunch at the top

DAY 3 - Lake Louise to Sun Peaksr

Depart Lake Louise and the province of Alberta and make your way to Sun Peaks, in British Columbia. Located about an hour outside of Kamloops, Sun Peaks is a four season mountain resort. With stunning vistas and plenty of activities, Sun Peaks is a perfect place to relax or be adventurous! Upon arrival into Sun Peaks, check into you hotel.

DAY 4 - Exploring Sun Peaks

Today is a free day to explore the mountain area. There are lots of activities available at the resort such as hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and canoe rentals. You may also wish to indulge in a spa treatment or maybe take a photography clinic. (Optional activities are not included).

DAY 5 - Sun Peaks to Jasper

Depart Sun Peaks today and travel back into the Canadian Rockies and the mountain resort town of Jasper. World famous Jasper National Park, Canada’s largest mountain park is a charming base from which to explore lakes and mountains. The town of Jasper is found amongst pristine wilderness and is surrounded by a necklace of emerald lakes and majestic waterfalls. Upon arrival into the Jasper, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the area.

DAY 6 - Discovering Jasper

Jasper, fascinating in beauty and history, is set amid some of the most rugged peaks in the Rockies. Many of the park’s striking features are accessible by road - Sunwapta and Athabasca Falls, Miette Hot-Springs (among the Rockies’ warmest natural hot springs), and glacier-clad Mount Edith Cavell. Take a tram ride up Whistler’s Mountain, named for the Whistling. Also included is a Pyramid Lake Canoe Experience that begins late in the afternoon. Your guide will take you to a beaver lodge, and to view rich wildlife habitat along the lake's shore. The early evening is excellent for wildlife and waterfowl viewing. This tour is ideal for the person who wants the peace and solitude that Pyramid Lake has to offer, after a busy day seeing all of Jasper's Gems.

DAY 7 - Jasper to Banff

Venture southward along one of the most scenic highways in the world. The Icefield Parkway is highlighted by frequent wildlife sightings, glacier-fed lakes, waterfalls and broad-reaching valleys that meet majestic peaks. At the Columbia Icefield, an opportunity to tour the Athabasca Glacier on board one of Brewster's environmentally-sensitive Ice Explorers awaits (included, seasonal*). From the Icefield Centre, continue your journey along the Parkway to Lake Louise and Banff.

DAY 8 - Discovering Banff

Enjoy a free day in Banff. Do most of your exploring as the locals do! Included today is a full day bike rental. There are many streets and trails around to give you a unique perspective of the area. Also included today is a cruise on Lake Minnewanka. Enjoy an educational excursion on the waters of Banff National Park's largest lake. The Minnewanka Valley is home to many species of Rocky Mountain wildlife, and is surrounded by picturesque scenery and interesting rock formations. Live narration is offered throughout the interpretive boat tour by an experienced guide and naturalist.

DAY 9 - Banff to Calgary

Departing Banff, travel through the foothills of the Rockies to the city of Calgary. Your package concludes with the return of the rental vehicle to either the Calgary International Airport or a downtown location.
