Admission to Heritage Park is included today. Other activities are available (not included) such as: the Calgary Zoo, football games, strolling the riverside pathways, trendy restaurants & authentic pubs.

DAY 2 - Calgary to Banff

Take the short (2-hour) drive from Calgary to Banff on either the Trans-Canada Highway or the more scenic 1A Highway.

DAY 3 - Exploring Banff

A full day to explore Banff and area. In town you'll find lots of excitement - shopping, cafes, nightlife, and museums. The Banff Gondola will lift you high over Banff for an incredible panoramic view. Take a dip in the hot mineral pools at the newly-renovated Upper Hot Springs.

DAY 4 - Banff to Lake Louise Sightseeing

It's just a 40-minute journey from Banff to Lake Louise, so you'll have plenty of time to stop and explore along the way. Take the Bow Valley Parkway, a winding scenic route that follows the path of the Bow River. Be sure to stop at Johnston Canyon and walk along the paved footway to the upper & lower waterfalls before continuing to Lake Louise. You'll also have plenty of time to explore this lovely lake amid its mountain paradise - you can even rent a canoe!

DAY 5 - Lake Louise to Jasper Sightseeing

Another great day in the Rockies - travel from Lake Louise to Jasper along the amazing Icefields Parkway. You're sure to be enthralled by the scenery, the wildlife, the incredible blue lakes and sparkling waterfalls en route. Stop for a self-guided interpretive walk at Peyto Lake. Don't miss the Columbia Icefield Visitor Centre and a ride onto the Athabasca Glacier onboard Brewster's Ice Explorer before continuing your journey. You'll have time to discover the many shops and cafes in quiet and friendly Jasper.

DAY 6 - Jasper to Kelowna

Depart Jasper today and travel from the rugged mountains to the rolling ranch country of British Columbia’s interior. Pass Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and then make your way southward along the peaceful North Thompson River to the city of Kamloops. Kamloops is British Columbia’s fifth-largest city and is a major transportation hub, located where the North and South Thompson Rivers join. There has been a settlement here since the Hudson Bay Company established a fur-trading post in 1812. While in Kamloops, you may wish to enjoy a visit to the Secwepemc Native Heritage Park to experience Native lifestyles, or perhaps enjoy a boat ride aboard the MV Wanda Sue, a paddle wheeler, as she cruises the Thompson River. Afterwards, make your way south along Highway 97 through the town of Vernon to your overnight destination of Kelowna, British Columbia, situated on the beautiful Okanagan Lake.

DAY 7 - Kelowna to Vancouver

After breakfast (included), continue the journey westward today, through near-desert regions and steep canyons of brilliantly coloured rock and then turn southward to follow the mighty Fraser River through a spectacular narrow canyon. Stop at Hell’s Gate in the scenic Fraser Canyon for a tram ride over the foaming river (tram ride included). Descend smoothly from the highway level in one of two comfortable 25-passenger gondolas, and experience a breathtaking flight directly above the unique Hell’s Gate fishways, where two million sockeye salmon challenge the river each year on their epic journey to their inland spawning grounds. At the lower terminal, after a 152-metre descent across the canyon, there are observation points to view the mighty Fraser River, where at peak level, 200 million gallons of water per minute leap and surge through the 34-metre-wide gorge. At the town of Hope, the route leaves the Coast Mountains and travels across the rich farmland of the Fraser Valley to the coastal city of Vancouver. As you travel through the Fraser Valley this afternoon, stop at Minter Gardens and take a leisurely stroll around the world-class gardens before arriving into Vancouver (admission included). Upon arrival in Vancouver, check-in to your selected hotel.

DAY 8 - Departing Vancouver

Return your vehicle this morning to complete your Canadian Rockies to the Pacific vacation.
