ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Arriving in Vancouver

Upon arrival into Vancouver, transfer on your own to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Some of the most popular local attractions include the Capilano Suspension Bridge & Tree Tops Adventure, Grouse Mountain, Vancouver Aquarium, Stanley Park, Granville Island and the Science Centre, not to mention many museums and the fantastic shops and restaurants on Robson Street.

DAY 2 and 3 - 'Rocky Mountaineer' to Kamloops and Banff

Your day begins with an early morning taxi transfer (included) to Vancouver's Pacific Central Station to board Rocky Mountaineer daylight train. Travel though the Pacific Coastal Mountains, Hell's Gate and onto Kamloops for the evening. (Breakfast and lunch onboard). Transfer (included) to your hotel in Kamloops for dinner (included) and an overnight stay. The next morning, transfer (included) back to the Kamloops train station where you will reboard Rocky Mountaineer and continue on your journey to the Canadian Rockies (breakfast and lunch onboard). Travel through the South Thompson River area, Kicking Horse Pass and Spiral Tunnels before arriving into Banff. Transfer (included) to your hotel upon arrival.

DAY 4 - Exploring Banff

In the morning your 'Discover Banff' excursion will take you through the town of Banff and its surroundings. Visit the majestic Hoodoos, see the views from Tunnel Mountain Drive and take a ride up Sulphur Mountain on the Banff Gondola (included). Enjoy a free afternoon in Banff.

DAY 5 - Banff to Jasper Sightseeing

Your full day excursion takes you along the scenic Icefields Parkway, stopping at the Columbia Icefield. Enjoy an "Ice Explorer" ride (included) on the Athabasca Glacier. Continue on to Jasper for a two night stay.

DAY 6 - Exploring Jasper

This the morning you will see the beauty of Jasper and its surrounding rugged peaks via Brewster Luxury Motorcoach. Your three hour excursion includes Medicine and Maligne Lakes and Maligne Canyon.

DAY 7, 8 and 9 - VIA Rail's 'Canadian' from Jasper to Toronto

This afternoon, transfer to the Jasper train station (transfer included) to board VIA Rail’s “Canadian”. Leave the peaceful mountain town of Jasper. Your destination is Toronto, the economic center of Canada. Dinner is included this evening onboard the train. Continue traveling across the Great Central Plains of Canada, through Winnipeg to rugged Northern Ontario. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included onboard the train each day.

DAY 10 - Arriving in Toronto

Breakfast is once again included onboard the train. This morning, arrive in Toronto, Canada’s most cosmopolitan city. It is a city of contrasts; the soaring glass and concrete towers of the financial heart of the country and the parks, gardens and lakefront boardwalks of a host of communities. It is a cultural storehouse with great museums and galleries. Toronto is also a shopper’s paradise, from the chic boutiques of Yorkville or the lofty glass palace of the Eaton Centre to the fruit and vegetable stalls of the St. Lawrence Market. Transfer via taxi to your selected hotel (transfer not included).

DAY 11 - Exploring Toronto

Experience the sights, sounds and history of multicultural Toronto at your speed, on your time. Your two-day ticket on the Greater Toronto Double Decker Circle Tour allows you to see the city with professional drivers and commentary, all the while giving you the complete flexibility to visit some of Toronto's sights, major attractions, shopping areas or unique cultural districts. Highlights include the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Casa Loma, Queens Park, Yorkville and Chinatown to name a few.

DAY 12 - Visiting Niagara Falls

This morning, depart on a full day sightseeing excursion to Niagara Falls. Travel through the orchard-laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world. Highlights of today’s excursion include a lunch buffet (included) while overlooking the falls, plus a trip of the world-famous “Maid of the Mist”, (included and seasonal) which travels to the base of the majestic Horseshoe Falls. Also included is a trip along the beautiful River Road, which winds its way along the Niagara Gorge. Stops are made at the Floral Clock and at the historical community of Niagara-on-the-Lake before returning to Toronto.

DAY 13 - VIA Rail's 'Business Class' from Toronto to Ottawa

Transfer (not included) to Union Station to board VIA Rail, departing this morning to Ottawa. Upon arrival in Ottawa, a taxi transfer is required (not included) to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Lunch is included onboard the train.

DAY 14 - Exploring Ottawa

This morning, tour the nation's "Capital" highlighted by Canada's Parliament Buildings, the Embassies, the Prime Minister's residence, Rideau Falls and Canal. A free afternoon is yours to explore the National Arts Centre, walk the parks, or visit Canada's Parliament (walking distance from hotel).

DAY 15 - VIA Rail's 'Business Class' from Ottawa to Montreal

Transfer on your own back to the Ottawa train station. Depart for your journey to fabulous Montreal (includes a meal onboard). On arrival at Montreal's Central Station, you will transfer on your own to your selected hotel.

DAY 16 - Sightseeing in Montreal

Your discovery of Montreal, the world's second-largest French-speaking city, begins with a city tour including Old Montreal, Notre Dame Basilica, Olympic Park and Mount Royal Park for a view of Montreal Harbour and the St. Lawrence River. The remainder of the day is yours to explore cafes and boutiques, or the extensive "underground" including shops and restaurants.

DAY 17 - VIA Rail's 'Business Class' from Montreal to Quebec City

After your free morning, continue your rail trip with VIA Rail to the charms of Quebec City. You'll enjoy a meal on the train and upon arrival, transfer on your own to your hotel.
