ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Arrival in Edmonton

Pick up your rental vehicle (not included) and spend the day exploring the capital city of Alberta. Wander around historic Old Strathcona, a shopping, dining, entertainment and theatre district, located south of downtown. Or, you may wish to visit the West Edmonton Mall where all of the attractions are under one roof!

DAY 2 - Exploring Edmonton

Spend your day at Canada's largest living museum! Nestled in the scenic Edmonton River Valley, history comes alive with interactive exhibits and activities going back 150 years. Take a ride on a steam train, play pioneer games, bake bread the old-fashioned way, shop 'til you drop, or hit the midway for rides games and more fun – it’s all right here waiting for you. Later, visit the Royal Alberta Museum to see the Natural History Gallery of rocks, minerals & fossils, gallery of Aboriginal Culture and "Wild Alberta" showcasing animals and landscapes in natural settings.

DAY 3 - Exploring Elk Island National Park

Located less than an hour away from Edmonton, Elk Island National Park of Canada protects the wilderness of the aspen parkland, one of the most endangered habitats in Canada. This beautiful oasis is home to herds of free roaming plains bison, wood bison, moose, deer, and elk. Also boasting over 250 species of birds, the park is a bird watcher's paradise. Be it for wildlife viewing, hiking, cross-country skiing, picnicking or overnight camping, there is something for everyone at Elk Island National Park.

DAY 4 - Depart Edmonton

Return your rental car to the Edmonton Airport to conclude your Edmonton Heritage Experience.
