ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Arrival in Québec City
When you arrive into Québec City International Airport, transfer independently to your overnight accommodation. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the historic ambience and beauty that the city has to offer.

DAY 2 - Exploring Québec City
This morning enjoy a sightseeing excursion of Québec City, the first French settlement in North America as well as the only walled city in North America. Highlights include the Plains of Abraham where the famous battle between the French and English armies took place in 1759; the Ramparts; the Latin Quarter; the National Assembly; Palace Royale; City Hall and a glimpse of modern Québec City; a perfect introduction to the city. Also included today is admission to the Musée de la Civilisation, a theme museum Its exhibition topics are a link between the past, the present and the future; its approach presents a new and dynamic vision on the human experience, on civilizations from here and from farther away.

DAY 3 - VIA Rail from Québec City to Montréal
A check out from your Québec City hotel and an independent transfer down to the VIA Rail station ends your stay in Canada's most historic city. Now it's off to Montréal, a gorgeous French-speaking metropolis, which is famous for its food, scenery and culture.

DAY 4 - Discovering Montréal
Your discovery of Montréal, the world’s second-largest French-speaking city, begins with a city tour this morning. Highlights of this three-hour excursion include Old Montréal; Notre-Dame Basilica, one of the masterpieces of religious architecture in North America; Olympic Park with the world’s tallest inclined tower, Mount Royal Lookout from which the city all comes into view, McGill University; Montréal Harbour; St. Joseph’s Oratory; City Hall; Place Des Arts, a world class center for the performing arts. The remainder of your day is yours to explore cafés and boutiques, or Montréal’s extensive “Promenade de la Cathedrale” mall including shops and restaurants.

DAY 5 - VIA Rail from Montréal to Ottawa
Departing the province of Québec today, travel aboard VIA Rail to the Capital of Canada - Ottawa. This city is home to many of the country's most important landmarks and has many sights and sounds for you to explore. After your arrival the remainder of the evening is at your leisure.

DAY 6 - Experiencing Ottawa

DAY 7 - VIA Rail from Ottawa to Toronto
Traveling southwest through Ontario aboard VIA Rail, you will soon arrive in Toronto; the largest city in Canada. This multi-cultural metropolis is where you will find the CN Tower, the Skydome, Casa Loma and countless other attractions. Be sure to have your camera ready!

DAY 8 - Sightseeing in Toronto
This morning, experience Toronto’s original and most comprehensive, fully narrated Hop-on / Hop-off City Trolley Tour aboard one of the London-style Double Decker or Turn-of-the-Century Trolleys. Your ticket is valid for two days, which allows you to tour our great city at your own pace. Stops include: the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, the Toronto Harbourfront, Casa Loma (admission included), the Eaton Centre, Yorkville and the University of Toronto. This ends your Metropolitan Winter Experience.
