ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Arriving in Toronto

Arrive Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport, transfer on your own by scheduled motor coach service, limousine or taxi to your downtown hotel.

DAY 2 - VIA Rail from Toronto to Ottawa

Tour exciting Toronto in the morning. Highlights of this one-and-a half hour tour include New and Old City Halls, Parliament Buildings, University of Toronto, Chinatown, Harbourfront and the Hockey Hall of Fame. This evening, depart on VIA Rail's service bound for Ottawa, Canada's capital city. Enjoy dinner onboard the train. Taxi transfer to your hotel in Ottawa on your own.

DAY 3 - Sightseeing in Ottawa

Ottawa boasts many fascinating national monuments, museums and entertainment facilities, including the Canadian Museum of Civilization. This city offers international flavour in everything from shopping to nightlife. And be sure to allow some time to spend exploring Byward Market in downtown.

DAY 4 - VIA Rail from Ottawa to Montreal

Arrive at the VIA train station for your journey to fabulous Montreal. Dine onboard the train. Upon arrival at Montreal's Central Station, proceed on your own by taxi to your selected hotel.

DAY 5 - Exploring Montreal

Your discovery of Montreal, the world's third-largest French-speaking city, begins with a city tour including Old Montreal, Notre Dame Basilica, Olympic Park and Mount Royal lookout for a view of Montreal Harbour and the St. Lawrence River. The remainder of the day is yours to explore cafes and boutiques or the extensive "underground" including shops and restaurants.

DAY 6 - VIA Rail from Montreal to Quebec City

After your free morning, continue your rail trip with VIA Rail to the charms of Quebec City. You'll enjoy lunch on the train and upon arrival, transfer on your own to your hotel.

DAY 7 - Exploring Quebec City

Today, start with a morning sightseeing tour of the only walled city in North America. Spend the afternoon exploring Quebec's many art shops, galleries, boutiques, pastry shops and excellent restaurants.

DAY 8 - Departing Quebec City

Your Metropolitan Winter Experience vacation concludes upon check out from your hotel.
