ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Discovering Banff

Depart Calgary in the morning and travel west towards the Rocky Mountains. At your first stop at the Stoney Nakoda Resort enjoy the option of participating in either a Heli-Tour over the unbelievable sights of the Kananaskis valley or the Dreamcatcher Terra-Bus that travels into a First Nations Village and through a nearby Buffalo Paddock. You will also have time to visit the Native Heritage artifacts exhibit, and to grab a bite to eat before you continue into the town site of Banff for a short tour of the highlights in the surrounding area including stops at the Bow Falls and Surprise Corner. Following this you will head up the Banff Gondola to the Peak of Sulphur Mountain. From here look out over the path you’ve travelled from a 360 degree observation deck, or enjoy a one kilometer walk along a boardwalk to the adjoining Sanson's peak.

DAY 2 - Cruising in Banff

This morning take a short tour to Lake Minnewanka for a 90 minute boat cruise (seasonal*). Afterwards, return to Banff for the remainder of the day at leisure and second night stay.

DAY 3 - Banff to Jasper Sightseeing

Venture northward along one of the most scenic highways in the world. The Icefield Parkway is highlighted by frequent wildlife sightings, glacier-fed lakes, waterfalls and broad-reaching valleys that meet majestic peaks. At the Columbia Icefield, an opportunity to tour the Athabasca Glacier on board one of Brewster's environmentally-sensitive Ice Explorers awaits (included, seasonal*). From the Icefield Centre, continue your journey along the Parkway to Jasper.

DAY 4 and 5 - 'Rocky Mountaineer' to Kamloops and Vancouver

All aboard the "Rocky Mountaineer" for a two day rail adventure. Experience the spectacular Kicking Horse Pass views and the Spiral Tunnels as you wind your way through the mountains of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Kamloops. En route to Vancouver the 'Rocky Mountaineer' follows the Thompson and Fraser Rivers to Hell's Gate Canyon. Breakfast and lunch are served onboard. Upon arrival in the west coast city of Vancouver transfer via taxi to your hotel.

DAY 6 - Departing Vancouver

A morning check out will complete your vacation.
