DAY 1 - Arriving in Vancouver

Upon arrival in Vancouver, transfer (not included) to your selected hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore the highlights of the city. Some suggested stops are Granville Island, Stanley Park, Robson Street, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Aquarium, Art Museum and Science Centre - all are within walking distance or a short taxi ride from your hotel.

DAY 2 and 3 - 'Rocky Mountaineer' to Kamloops and Jasper

Begin your train adventure with a morning taxi transfer (included) to the Vancouver train station where the 'Rocky Mountaineer' awaits. Follow the Fraser River to the interior of British Columbia. You will stay overnight in Kamloops and return to the Kamloops train station early the next morning. Transfer is included to continue your rail journey into the mountains. Following the Thompson River, pass Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Arrive in Jasper late afternoon for an overnight stay.

DAY 4 - Jasper to Banff Sightseeing

Venture southward along one of the most scenic highways in the world. The Icefield Parkway is highlighted by frequent wildlife sightings, glacier-fed lakes, waterfalls and broad-reaching valleys that meet majestic peaks. At the Columbia Icefield, an opportunity to tour the Athabasca Glacier on board one of Brewster's environmentally-sensitive Ice Explorers awaits (included, seasonal*). From the Icefield Centre, continue your journey along the Parkway to Lake Louise and Banff.

DAY 5 - Touring in Banff

A morning excursion of Banff townsite will provide you with many opportunities to view the scenic and historic highlights of the area. Then it is a stop at the Banff Gondola to ride up into the mountain tops for spectacular views from a one kilometer boardwalk or 360 degree observation deck. Later, join a motor coach sightseeing transfer headed past Mount Norquay, Cascade Mountain, and Upper & Lower Bankhead. Continuing on to Lake Minnewanka, you will board a 1 hour interpretive boat cruise around the largest lake within Banff National Park. Learn about the natural history and native legends that make this lake a landmark. After the cruise, your driver guide will pick you up from the dock and drive you to some animal 'hotspots' where you will have excellent oppurtunities to spot some of Banff's famous wildlife, including Deer, Elk, Coyotes, Bears, and much more! Your excursion concludes with a transfer back to the Banff townsite.

Your day is free until your transfer to Calgary. Travelling outside of the Rockies and into the foothills of Calgary, you will be dropped off at the Calgary International Airport or its city centre.
