Notre Dame Basilica, Mount Royal Park, Olympic Park, Old Montréal and St. Joseph's Oratory highlight the morning 'Greater Montréal Tour'. The afternoon is free to wander through restored buildings dating from the 17th century and shop Montréal's 'underground', a myriad of stores and services connecting hotels and the subway. Board 'VIA 1' for your journey to historic Québec City. Relax over dinner en route.

DAY 3 - VIA Rail's 'Ocean' from Québec City to Halifax

This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Québec City. Highlights include a tour aboard a trolley bus to the main historic sites of Québec City, the only remaining walled city on the continent, as well as visiting the Plains of Abraham, Ramparts and Place d'Armes. The first part of the afternoon you will enjoy the Québec Experience 3D multimedia show, a 30 minute voyage through the 400-year history of Québec City. The rest of the afternoon and evening are free for you to explore the city's "old world" charm. Enjoy sidewalk cafes, outdoor displays by Québec artists, and the unique French Canadian culture. This evening, transfer on your own to the Charny Station to begin your train journey to Halifax. Overnight onboard VIA Rail.

DAY 4 - Arriving in Halifax

Your rail journey to Halifax continues on board. VIA Rail's 'Ocean' is the finest way to appreciate the splendid scenery of Canada's Maritime provinces. This morning enjoy a continental breakfast before arriving in Halifax. Feel free to explore the train and discover how train travel has come of age in Atlantic Canada. A late afternoon arrival and transfer to your hotel begins your stay in Atlantic Canada.

DAY 5 - Exploring Halifax

With plenty of time to relax, you'll get acquainted with this historic city founded in 1749 as a British garrison town. Highlights of this morning's tour include Citadel Hill, Point Pleasant Park and Bedford Basin. The remainder of the day is free to discover the restaurants and boutiques housed in restored structures that represent the character of privateer days.
