ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Calgary to Lake Louise

Upon arrival in Calgary, transfer via scheduled motorcoach service to Lake Louise. Travel through the foothills of the Rockies, past the mountain towns of Canmore and Banff and into Lake Louise, the 'Jewel of the Rockies'. Once you arrive the rest of the day is at your leisure.

DAY 2 - Lake Louise to Jasper Sightseeing

Today's journey takes you north along the famous Icefields Parkway, one of the most spectacular highways in North America. Your excursion through Banff and Jasper National Parks will stop at the Columbia Icefield allowing time for a Brewster Ice Explorer and the Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure. Continue on to Jasper for a two night stay.

DAY 3 - Exploring Jasper

Experience Jasper National Park through the travels of the early explorers and view the unspoiled grandeur! A morning excursion will begin along the mighty Athabasca Canadian Heritage River, learning about David Thompson and the valley ecosystem. Travel above Maligne Canyon, with its narrow gorge and limestone walls created by 10,000 years of water flow. Visit a place of mystery and Indian legend as you continue to Medicine Lake, where sometimes it actually disappears! On your adventure, you are sure to see a variety of mountain wildlife. Return to Jasper to spend the remainder of your day at leisure.

DAY 4 - Jasper to Banff

This morning is free for you to relax and enjoy the scenery. This afternoon you will depart Jasper and travel south to Banff. Note that this is an express service.

DAY 5 - Discovering Banff

This morning's excursion takes you through the town of Banff and its environs. Visit hotspots such as Surprise Corner, Tunnel Mountain Drive, Bow Falls and the Banff Hoodoos prior to your final stop at Banff Gondola. Summit Sulphur Mountain in a gondola car, while taking in the stunning overview of mountains and water systems surrounding Banff. This evening a Banff Lake Cruise awaits, taking you around Banff National Park's largest lake - Lake Minnewanka.

DAY 6 - Departing Calgary

A morning, afternoon or evening transfer to Calgary completes your Rockies vacation.
