ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Arriving in Banff

Today, travel through the foothills of the Rockies to the resort town of Banff. Upon arrival in Banff, you will dropped off at your selected hotel.

DAY 2 - Discovering Banff

This morning's excursion takes you through the town of Banff and its environs. Visit sights such as the Banff Hoodoos, Tunnel Mountain Drive and the Bow Falls. Your final stop is at the Banff Gondola for a 360 degree look at Banff and the Bow Valley.

DAY 3 - Banff to Jasper Sightseeing

Today you will drive to Jasper via Canada's most spectacular mountain highway - the Icefields Parkway. After a brief stop at Lake Louise, you will continue on to the Columbia Icefield. A ride on a Brewster Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier is a must-do! Arrive into the resort town of Jasper in the early evening.

DAY 4 - VIA Rail's 'Skeena' to Prince George

This morning, transfer to the Jasper train station (taxi transfer included) and board VIA Rail's "Skeena" Totem Class. Onboard lunch and dinner is included. Upon arrival at the Prince George train station, transfer by taxi to your hotel (included). Note: For departures starting in May and end of September, "Totem Class" onboard the Skeena is not available. Passengers will travel in "Economy" that does not offer included meals.

DAY 5 - VIA Rail's 'Skeena' to Prince Rupert

This morning, return to the train station and re-board VIA Rail's "Skeena" for your continuing journey to the West Coast city of Prince Rupert. Upon arrival at the Prince Rupert train station, transfer to your hotel. Again, meals onboard (seasonal) and transfers are included today in your vacation.

DAY 6 - Exploring Prince Rupert

After a 1.5 hour cruise around Kaien Island, the rest of the day is yours to explore the quaint town of Prince Rupert, a bustling port town with cruise ship docks, ferries to Alaska, Port Hardy and the Queen Charlotte Islands as well as a starting and ending point for VIA Rail's Skeena train.

DAY 7 - Cruising from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy

Transfer by taxi this morning to the BC Ferries Terminal (included). Embark on a full day of cruising the Inside Passage. After your fifteen-hour journey, you will arrive at the seaport of Port Hardy, transfer by taxi to your hotel (taxi included).

DAY 8 - Port Hardy to Victoria

Take an early morning taxi transfer (included) to the Port Hardy Bus Depot, where you will board a scheduled-service motorcoach for your transfer to Victoria, capital city of British Columbia.

DAY 9 - Exploring Victoria

Enjoy a free day of sightseeing in Victoria today. The entire day is at your leisure to explore this very British city. Perhaps take a chance to experience High-Tea at the Fairmont Empress, or relax at the waterfront as you watch the ships dock and disembark.

DAY 10 - Victoria to Vancouver Sightseeing

This afternoon, you tour to the world renowned Butchart Gardens, you will have approximately 2 hours to explore their 50 acre display of magnificent color. This afternoon you will board one of the B.C. Ferries for a spectacular cruise through the Gulf Islands marine wonderland then take a scenic drive through the Fraser River Delta to your Vancouver hotel.

DAY 11 - Exploring Vancouver

A morning sightseeing tour will include Gastown, Chinatown, and Stanley Park. Additional sightseeing highlights include Prospect Point, the English Bay Beaches and Queen Elizabeth Park. The remainder of your day is at leisure.

DAY 12 - Departing Vancouver

Your day is at leisure until you check-out of your hotel to end your Rockies, Rail & Sail vacation.
