ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Arrival into Vancouver

Upon arrival into Vancouver, transfer independently to your overnight accommodation. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore this beautiful coastal city.

DAY 2 - VIA Rail's 'Canadian' from Vancouver to Jasper

This evening transfer on your own to Vancouver's vintage rail station, where you'll board VIA Rail's 'Silver & Blue'. Travel through lush farmlands of the Fraser Valley before entering the narrow gorge of the Fraser Canyon. Continue through the rolling ranch country of B.C.'s Interior Plateau as the train follows the North Thompson River to Kamloops and enters the majestic Rocky Mountains.

DAY 3 - Arriving in Jasper

Arriving in the alpine townsite of Jasper this afternoon, you will be transferred to your hotel and have the remainder of the day to relax and explore.

DAY 4 - Exploring Jasper

Walking on the frozen floor of Jasper National Park's longest and deepest canyon is a memorable experience, and its yours to have on your excursion today. This area is considered to be part of the world's most extensive underground river systems. The tour is made that much more interesting by your experienced guide, providing information from a year round perspective of this area and shedding lights on this "mysterious" canyon.

DAY 5 - Jasper to Banff

Depart Jasper this morning and travel along the Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic highways in the Canadian Rockies, to arrive into Banff around noon. The rest of you day is yours to play outside or cozy up to a roaring fireplace.

DAY 6 - Sightseeing in Banff

Today is yours to explore the Banff townsite. Perhaps spend your morning visiting the amazing Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies, the Cave & Basin National Historic Site and the Banff Park Museum. All are very well known and have some spectacular exhibits. Afterwards, take a relaxing soak in the Banff Upper Hot Springs at the base of Sulphur Mountain. Your day ends with a transfer (included) from the Upper Hot Springs, back down to your hotel.

DAY 7 - Departing Banff

A morning checkout from your downtown Banff hotel and a scheduled transfer back to Calgary ends your Winter vacation in the Canadian Rockies.
