ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Arriving in Vancouver

Upon arrival into Vancouver, transfer independently to your Vancouver hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore this beautiful Pacific Coast city.

DAY 2 - Vancouver to Whistler Sightseeing

Today, board the "Whistler Mountaineer" on the Coast Classic service for your journey to Whistler. The train travels through some of the most beautiful country in the world. On your way to Whistler, you will be served breakfast at your seat as you enjoy the view of the Pacific Coast.

DAY 3 and 4 - 'Rocky Mountaineer' to Quesnel and Jasper

On Day 3 board Rocky Mountaineer for your continuing journey to Quesnel. Today's journey will take you to the heart of interior British Columbia. Pass by 100 Mile House that is located on the "Old Cariboo Gold Rush Trail" in South Cariboo and boasts a diversity of landscapes. You will travel though areas that are not on a road map. Breakfast and lunch are served to you at your seat. Upon arrival in Quesnel, transfer (included) to your hotel. On Day 4 re-board Rocky Mountaineer for your continuing journey to Jasper. Your route today follows the famous Fraser River. Enjoy breakfast and lunch served at your seat (included). Keep your eyes open for grizzly bear, moose, beaver and osprey! Crossing into the Province of Alberta, you will arrive by late afternoon in the peaceful alpine town of Jasper

DAY 5 - Sightseeing in Jasper

Depart on a tour of Jasper this morning. Visit all of the stunning sights and sounds this quaint alpine town has to offer. Learn about the mysterious disappearing Medicine Lake, experience the wonders of the Maligne Canyon, and see the unrivalled beauty of Maligne Lake.

DAY 6 - Jasper to Banff Sightseeing

Venture southward along one of the most scenic highways in the world. The Icefield Parkway is highlighted by frequent wildlife sightings, glacier-fed lakes, waterfalls and broad-reaching valleys that meet majestic peaks. At the Columbia Icefield, an opportunity to tour the Athabasca Glacier on board one of Brewster's environmentally-sensitive Ice Explorers awaits (included). From the Icefield Centre, continue your journey along the Parkway to Lake Louise and Banff.

DAY 7 - Exploring Banff

A morning Brewster 'Discover Banff' guided excursion is highlighted with a ride up Sulphur Mountain on a Banff Gondola. This afternoon you'll travel by horseback on a trail ride that includes a cook-out.

DAY 8 - Departing Calgary

A morning check out concludes your Spirit of the Rockies vacation.
