ITINERARY:

DAY 1 - Arriving in Toronto

Upon arrival at Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport transfer independently by scheduled airporter service, limousine or taxi to your downtown hotel.

DAY 2, 3 & 4 - VIA Rail's 'Canadian' from Toronto to Jasper

Transfer to Toronto’s Union Station (transfer not included) and board VIA Rail’s “Canadian” for your journey to Jasper. Travel through the provinces of Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan before entering the province of Alberta and the resort town of Jasper. Please note that dinner is not included on the train tonight. Continue your journey through rugged Northern Ontario to Winnipeg and the Great Central Plains. A full breakfast, lunch and dinner are included onboard the train each day.

DAY 5 - Arriving in Jasper

Conclude the final leg of your trip to Jasper by travelling through Edmonton towards the majestic Rocky Mountains. A full breakfast and lunch are once again included onboard the train today. Upon arrival at the Jasper train station, transfer to your selected hotel (transfer included).

DAY 6 - Exploring Jasper

Experience Jasper National Park through the travels of the early explorers and view the unspoiled grandeur! This morning excursion will begin along the mighty Athabasca Canadian Heritage River, learning about David Thompson and the valley ecosystem. Travel above Maligne Canyon, with its narrow gorge and limestone walls created by 10,000 years of water flow. Visit a place of mystery and Indian legend en-route to Medicine Lake, where sometimes it actually disappears! On the adventure to Maligne Lake, the largest natural lake in the Canadian Rockies and one of the most photographed sites in the world, you are sure to see a variety of mountain wildlife.

DAY 7 - VIA Rail's 'Canadian' from Jasper to Vancouver

This morning is at leisure until the transfer (included) to the Jasper train station to board VIA Rail’s “Canadian” for a journey through the Rockies to Vancouver. This experience with its award-winning service is luxury on rail. Points of interest include Hell’s Gate (gorge), Suicide Rapids in the North Thompson Canyon, and the Cisco Tunnels above the Fraser River. Dinner is included onboard the train this evening.

DAY 8 - Arriving in Vancouver

A continental breakfast is included onboard VIA Rail this morning. Arrival at the Vancouver Pacific Central Station is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Upon arrival at the Vancouver train station, transfer via taxi to your selected hotel (taxi transfer included).

DAY 9 - Departing Vancouver

Transfer from your hotel to Vancouver International Airport (transfer not included) for your homeward or onward flight. You may use a scheduled airporter service, taxi or limousine.
